| This project involved the creation of multiple 3d animations of a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Visualizations of this rare design were needed to help communicate its intricate nature. With only plan-view linework available as source material Images Plus used Lightwave 3D to produce and render the model. Details were added to enhance the look and feel of the linework (texturing, signage, and vehicles). The final movies were rendered with radiosity to optimally illuminate the model and details. Once the DDI model was complete multiple camera angles were needed showing specific vehicular routes in the design. A total of six animations were created for the client, including video editing and post-processing with Media Studio Pro and Photoshop CS2. Next: Bicycle Map Update |
